[CUBS] Navigation 101
FIRST NIGHT BACK TERM TWO
WHEN: MONDAY 15 APR Regular Time 7:00 to 8:30pm
WHERE: In the Scout Hall
Tonight we answer the ago old question, are we there yet? And in true back seat driver style, we will ask this over and over all term as we explore navigation and our local area.
Every week we will build on our understanding of our geographical awareness, different types of maps, plotting a route, giving directional instructions to someone else, and of course following a set course.
We will also look at our own personal journeys and the things that shape us.
A lot of our time this term will be spent out of the hall, so please bring a small pack with a torch (optional head torch) and warm jacket each week. A rain coat isn’t a bad idea either.
Location: Hall
Wear: uniform if you have one, scarf, runners
Bring: water bottle, torch, optional head torch, warm jacket + rain coat depending on weather.
+++++ please note, that due to leader shortage this term, and in trying to provide an adventurous, fun, challenging and inclusive program, we WILL need parents to assist. We will add a roster weekly with positions we need help with ++++++
