Rover Scouts

Rover Scouts - Beyond the Horizon

AGES 18 – 25

The Rover Scout section represents the culmination of the Scout program. Rover Scouts are young adults, though the potential for personal growth in this section is huge.

THIS SECTION IS ALL ABOUT

  • Scouts vastly expanding their comfort zones
  • Young adults exploring and understanding their growing responsibilities
  • Becoming a well-rounded global citizen
  • Facing and over coming fears
  • Young adults discovering their potentials
  • Scouts fully understanding their role in creating a better world

IT’S THROUGH THIS SECTION THAT WE SEE THE PURPOSE OF SCOUTING REALISED – WELL- ROUNDED INDIVIDUALS READY TO HELP CREATE A BETTER WORLD.

Scouts in this section are experiencing many aspects of life for the first time. Independence takes a new level of meaning for Rover Scouts; they will experience many life changes during their time in this section. Social connections built through Scouting will provide an important support network through these challenges, and the program will be an important outlet.

Rover Scouts will build on their roles as active members of their local, national and global communities. Scouts will become increasingly aware of the challenges faced by communities and the environment. They will work in partnership with others to help tackle real issues and influence positive change.

Scouts in this section will have a number of established interests and skills. The Rover Scout section will encourage them to push their limits and enjoy a whole new level of adventure. Scouts will share their experience with a network of peers within and beyond the Rover Scout section.

Rover Scouts’ adventures will take them further than ever before as they explore new places with new people and old friends. Scouts might find themselves in the most remote parts of Australia, or on the other side of the planet. Through these experiences Scouts will develop a whole new level of understanding about who they are and their place in the world.

Scouts will complete the program no later than their 26th birthday
