Get excited!

Thurs 14th March [CUBS/SCOUTS/VENTURERS/ROVERS]

This week we will all be joining each other at 7pm at Karkarook Park!!

We’ll be canoeing on the lake, building our own rafts and be participating in many more fun activities. Make sure you bring some old clothes just in case a leader throws you into the water. Please bring a towel and a spare change of clothes as well. Please DO NOT wear your uniform.
This date is of no importance and there is no reason to bully a specific leader about anything in particular. This leader hates cakes and is afraid of surprises so please be nice.

BRING A FRIEND

We announced that there will be another bring a friend prize of $200 towards anything within 5th/6th. Whether you want the money to go towards your Jamboree fee or a 5th/6th hoodie. This will be running for 6 months and the youth member with the most friends to have joined Scouting at 5th/6th will receive the prize. Congrats to Sidney and Hili who won our last bring a friend prize!! Remember to BRING A FRIEND each week to show them how cool Scouting can be!!

TRIATHLON SEASON

Two triathlons left!!
It’s going to be a perfect morning out & about! Volunteers’ free sausage sizzle & drink available afterwards! Car pooling available – add a request when registering. Please register yourself, family, friends, neighbours, everyone you know! If you’re attending AJ2025, half your triathlon money goes towards your AJ2025 registration fees.

ANZAC DAWN SERVICE SLEEPOVER

Our annual Dawn Service Sleepover
As we do every year, we will be attending the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Shrine of Remembrance in the city. We’ll be having a ‘sleepover’ in the hall the night before, then getting up super early to head the Shrine for the dawn service, followed by breakfast at Macca’s on the way back to the Scout hall.
Full uniform (shirt and scarf) is required for the dawn service.
When: 8:00pm Wednesday 24th April – 8:30am Thursday 25th April
Cost: money for breakfast at Maccas Drop off and pick up: at the Scout hall King George VI Reserve
Joeys and Cubs, as well as family members are very welcome to join us at the dawn service. You will need to meet us at the Scout hall at 5am, we’ll arrange transport into the Shrine – please also complete the registration form.
