BRENDAN’S AJ2025 DONATION

Brendan thought that not enough of the Scouts actually read the email and have no clue what we are doing each week. So, to make sure that they read the emails and sign up for everything, he is donating $5 to the FIRST Scout to find a spelling or grammatical mistake within the emails. An extra 50c will be added on top for every extra mistake you find. The money can only be redeemed once you have signed up for AJ2025. Make sure to be the first find any mistakes and text or email Brendan before anyone else does!!

Each year our Unit traditionally participates in the Stradbroke Cup (Straddie) at the Bay Park Scout Camp, Mt Martha, this year it’s over the Labour Day long weekend. Stradbroke is a three day long camp where Scouts compete against one another through various activities. The camp is run in Patrols with limited input from the Scout Leaders. Patrols are assessed on how well their camp is setup and how well they use the available equipment. The camp also includes many fun activities. This is a great chance to learn new skills and have loads of fun at the same time.

AJ2025

It’s slowly approaching
For those who haven’t already signed up for Jamboree, please do so soon. We know it is a lot of money but we can guarantee that you can raise it all. One of our Scouts has already collected enough cans to raise over $1,000 and has also been handing out water at triathlons to earn them more money.
If you need financial help for your child to attend Jamboree, please do not hesitate to ask any of the leaders. We have the resources you need and can assist in helping you write up an application.
The deadline for payments are in September and can be held off until then, however we need your application to be sent in ASAP. If you need anymore information about Jamboree please do not hesitate to ask any of the leaders during a regular night of Scouts.
When: Jan 5-17th 2025
