[Venturers] Fiji Community Playground Adventure – Go Fund Me

On the 8th of December 2016 a party of 21 Venturers, leaders and adult helpers, will be arriving in Savusavu Fiji, for a eleven day adventure to support a local village school.  We need your support to promote the “Go Fund Me” page.

You have an opportunity to support building a playground for an underprivileged school in Fiji.  Also Providing a cultural experience to develop 14 to 18 year old Venturer Scouts from 5th 6th Central Moorabbin.  Late last year the unit decided to make an overseas trip to do community service which the whole group could work towards. Many ideas were thrown around but in the end it was decided; a trip to Fiji to do community service. After the vicious cyclone that ravaged the country late last year it seemed only appropriate to lend a helping hand. The trip to Savusavu will be 11 days in December 2016. The task to build two playgrounds for an underprivileged local school.  We have worked with Rotary Club Bentleigh Moorabbin Central to link us with support via Rotary Club Savusavu and will be staying at the school hall during the build with a few days r&r at the end to explore the hills, bays and snorkelling Fiji has to offer. The venturers will be able to connect with the school children and scouts in Savusavu to benefit both communities majorly. It would be great if you can help us with fundraising; coming to events or simply donating to our efforts as detailed here. All the information, upcoming events and the trip itself will be on up and active on our blog: http://5th6thventurersinfiji.blogspot.com.au
