Bentleigh East Scout Group

If you don’t know, Peter Fowler has been at Bentleigh East Scout Group for nearly all his life. His first official Cub night was on the 31st of March 1995, at our groups original name, 5th Central Moorabbin. He stayed with the group until it became 5th/6th Central Moorabbin and eventually became a leader on the 3rd of October 2006. Since then Peter has been able to completely redesign how this Scout group functions. He put forward his ideas and made the group better than any other. If it weren’t for him, none of us would be the people we are today. After 30 years of Scouting, the time has come to say goodbye. Peter will soon be leaving with his fiancé, Tahlia, to go live in Queensland with his two dogs. He will still stay apart of Bentleigh East Scouts, however, just from afar. You may see him on the occasional camp and very rarely on one of our crazy nights, but he won’t be there to say hello or play moose or simply make fun of. This doesn’t mean our Scout group is changing. We still have all of our wonderful leaders that all volunteer their time for the group and all of our camps and nights will run just like normal. It’ll take a bit of getting used to without Peter around, but we know we will take forward all of the lessons he gave us over the years. Thank you Peter. I know we will all miss you. ...
